Our Services - Consultation

At Ethos, we understand the need to minimize your time away from school or work, that is why we offer a unique "one-step" consultation and treatment planning session.

At your initial consultation, your orthodontist will examine you, and listen to you!

We need to work out whether treatment is necessary or desirable. For some people, it may not be necessary yet, or it may not be needed at all. With young children, we may want to watch how their jaws and teeth develop, before we consider treatment.

We also take the chance to listen to what you'd like to change, and to achieve.

At the end of this visit, you will know:

what your treatment will be
how long it will take
when it should start
what it will cost.

You will know enough information to make a decision. Once the decision is made to proceed with treatment, your fitting appointment can be scheduled.

If your dentist hasn't already requested it, a referral will be given to have a specialist full-mouth and jaw x-ray taken. If you are attending our Upper Mt Gravatt office, we will use our latest technology digital imaging machine to x-ray your mouth and jaws.

If we think you should wait before you start, which sometimes happens with children, we will make an appointment to review your situation later. Our recall visits are free.
