Welcome to your first visit to ethos™
Once you’ve made an appointment with Ethos, we’ll send you a welcome pack that reminds you what to bring to your first appointment – you can also check out the list here.
Here is the five point guide to your visit:
- When you arrive, the receptionist will make you very welcome and will tell the Treatment Coordinator that you’re here.
- The Treatment Coordinator will spend a little while chatting with you to get to know you. She or he will tell you what to expect and answer your questions.
- The next step is to get a clear picture of your teeth by taking some digital images ready for the orthodontist (digital imaging at Mount Gravatt and Clayfield only).
- Now to the orthodontist’s consulting room. Being in the orthodontist’s chair is similar to being in the dentist’s chair but we don’t have any drills or needles! The orthodontist will listen to what you (and your parents) want and will help you choose the right treatment for you. Our orthodontists are really friendly people – meet them here.
- The orthodontist will prepare a letter for your parent(s) telling them how long the treatment will take, what it will involve and what it will cost.
That’s it for the first visit. It will have taken about 45 minutes and you’ll be a lot clearer about what needs to happen to create your fantastic smile.
Once your parents have agreed the treatment plan, you are ready for your second appointment and can start the treatment.
