It is also very important that you feel physically comfortable with whichever treatment appliance you wear and that you can carry on with your life confidently while treatment progresses. We take the time to make sure everything is as perfect as it can be – including your future smile.
Your fitting appointment
Whether you choose Invisalign, Incognito or braces, the fitting is not painful. Your initial fitting appointment will take about 45 minutes – enough time to make sure your mouth is comfortable and to give you detailed guidance on how to care for your appliance.
You may experience some discomfort in the days immediately after fitting as your teeth start to move but you will quickly get used to your treatment appliance and will be able to forget it is there most of the time.
Regular adjustments
You will need regular appointments to adjust your braces or Incognito appliance or to fit the next stage of your Invisalign treatment. The amount of time between check-ups will vary depending on which treatment you choose – the orthodontist will tell you when you need to come back.
These appointments usually only take about 10 minutes and are easy to fit into your busy schedule. The cost is included in your treatment plan.
The total duration of treatment will vary depending on your teeth and the treatment method but is usually between 12 and 24 months.
