Your initial consultation fee will be $75 plus the cost of digital imaging (available at Mount Gravatt and Clayfield). Two digital images are made and these are $75 each.
The cost of treatment varies depending on the amount of work needed, the type of treatment chosen and how long the treatment takes. For some treatments, the fees are quite low. In all cases, we can offer a payment plan to suit your budget.
Costs are fully itemised with the treatment plan and include everything, including regular check-ups for two years after the treatment is complete. Once we have quoted you an inclusive cost, there are no unexpected extras.
Payment options
We accept B-Pay, Ezidebit and credit cards and offer discounted fees if you make a single, up-front payment.
Alternatively our flexible payment plans offer interest-free terms for 16 months. You pay an initial fee and then monthly payments. We will be happy to give you more details.
Health benefit funds
Some health benefit funds cover part of the cost of orthodontic services. Whether you are covered and the amount you are covered for will depend on your health fund provider and your plan.
We recommend you check your plan and talk to your health fund provider before you decide on your payment options.
Most funds do not cover you unless you have been a member for at least a year so it is not usually practical to join a fund after you have decided on orthodontic services.
Tax rebate
It is worth considering that you may qualify for a rebate from the Australian Taxation Office if your medical fees rise above a certain amount (or ‘threshold’) in a year. This is called the ‘Medical Expense Tax Rebate’ and is calculated when you do your income tax return.
Orthodontists’ fees are counted as medical fees for this rebate.
For the current amount of the threshold and the rebate, contact your accountant or the Australian Taxation Office.
