Kent Farmer

BDSC MDSC(QLD) MRACDS

Kent is passionate about orthodontics. He works long hours caring for Ethos patients but also has heaps of energy to spare for a full-on life outside work.

He grew up in Charters Towers and graduated from UQ with first class honours in 1985. After a few years working as a dentist in Mount Isa, he returned to university to study orthodontics for another three years. He has also been a clinical supervisor at UQ.

When he is not at Ethos, you might find him riding a dirt bike, playing touch football, playing tennis, relaxing with his family (including teenage sons and daughter), overseeing his farm or supporting the Reds or Broncos.

Kent’s idea of a holiday is trekking in the wilderness somewhere and he has walked the Kokoda trail. Work takes him overseas too, where he attends orthodontics conferences to find out what’s new in research and treatment.

Kent Farmer works at our Upper Mt Gravatt, Browns Plains, and Algester branches.

Tip of the month

If your gums bleed or become sore after flossing, do not panic. If you have not been flossing regularly then the gums will be inflamed and will bleed more easily. If the bleeding persists - see your dentist.
