Anna Chang

BDSC MDSC(QLD) MRACDS

Dr Anna Chang was a pharmacist before deciding that she wanted a career that would let her do more to make a difference for patients and to get to know them better.

Early in her dental degree, Anna developed an interest in the cosmetic side of dentistry.  She graduated from the University of Queensland with first class honours and was awarded the university medal for academic excellence.  Finally she chose orthodontics because she enjoys working with young people and loves seeing the difference a smile can make for them. She has been working at Ethos since 2002.

When she is not busy at Ethos, Anna enjoys shopping, more shopping, traveling, bush-walking and cooking meals with her husband.

For Anna, the ultimate reward of her job is meeting many different patients, hearing their stories and especially sharing their triumphs – like seeing the photos of their graduations or formals where their beautiful new smiles shine through.

Anna migrated to Australia from Hong Kong over 20 years ago and is tri-lingual, speaking fluent Mandarin and Cantonese as well as English.

Tip of the month

If your gums bleed or become sore after flossing, do not panic. If you have not been flossing regularly then the gums will be inflamed and will bleed more easily. If the bleeding persists - see your dentist.
